December 4, 2012 Board Meeting Agenda Item #14 Title APPROVAL OF EXPULSION CASE NO. 13-017 Description On September 13, 2012, the student listed in Expulsion Case No. 13-017, violated School Board Policy 5.34(1)(D), Battery on Another Student.  It is the recommendation of the Superintendent, that the student be expelled from the Sarasota County Schools until August 20, 2013. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Section 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, and the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case No. 13-017, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools, be approved effective immediately for the remainder of the 2012-2013 academic year, the 2013 summer session, until August 20, 2013.
